(Grand Junction, CO – November 20, 2017) During the past month, Tiara Rado Animal Hospital’s 4th Annual Pet Food Drive collected pet food and cash donations to benefit the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction. Pet food is one of the top requests at food banks in the Grand Junction area.

The community response was very generous in filling the pickup, donating 1433 pounds of pet food along with $644 in cash. Tiara Rado Animal Hospital thanks Chow Down, Purina, Hills Science Diet and Royal Canin for contributing to the Pet Food Drive. Community Food Bank board chair Biff Messinger accepted the donations. He said, “During 2016 we were able to feed pets for the entire year thanks to Tiara Rado’s Pet Food Drive.”

The food bank provides a three-day supply of emergency food to community residents. Volunteers bagged the pet food into three-day supplies for those with pets.
