Roberta Francis, DVM
Dr. Roberta Francis graduated in 1974 from the Colorado State University School of Veterinary Medicine – considered one of the top veterinarian schools in the US. Coincidently, she and Dr. Frank Coons were classmates! In 1979 she started her own practice, Francis Veterinary Hospital in Denver.
Dr Francis sold the practice in 2016, and left the hustle and bustle to move to Grand Junction. A well-seasoned general practitioner of 30+ years, her expertise is internal soft-tissue medicine, such as digestive, cardiac and internal organs. Her experience and compassionate nature is warmly welcomed on the veterinary staff at Tiara Rado Animal Hospital in Grand Junction.
Dr. Francis and her husband have two adult sons, and live with a menagerie of young to elderly pets: Hannah – a 5 year old Doberman, Princess – a 20 year old cat, Sapphire – a Yorkie, and Timmy and Bob – both active 1 year old cats. She enjoys her semi-retirement and loves getting outside in western Colorado to bike, hike and garden in her spare time.
