Second Annual Biggest Loser: Pet Edition Begins!
Has your pet put on the pounds? What better time to start a weight loss plan than the New Year. Tiara Rado Animal Hospital's Second Annual Biggest Loser: Pet Edition competition will help the dogs and cats of the Grand Valley take back their health.
To participate, make an appointment during the month of January for the initial exam and weigh in. During this appointment, one of our veterinarians will conduct a thorough exam to ensure your pet is healthy enough for the weight loss competition. Your pet's weight will be recorded and a "before" picture will be taken for posting on Facebook and use on the TRAH website. Your vet will also prescribe a weight loss regimen that best fits your pet, its breed and its body type. The competition will end with a final weigh in during the month of June when your pet's weight will be recorded and picture taken once again.
Winners will be announced by June 20. Winners will receive a gift certificate worth $100, which can be used towards services and product from Tiara Rado Animal Hospital. We will notify you directly.
Competition Timeframe: January through June 2012
Disclosures: Initial exams for the competition are $45 (regular exam prices), which also includes the final weigh in. Vets will determine if additional blood work is needed to rule out a more serious health concern that may be a contributing factor to your pet's obesity. Depending on your pet, a prescription medication may be suggested to assist in weight loss. No other fees are necessary for the duration of the competition. If you would like to see the progress of your pet's weight loss, you are welcome to bring them into the hospital without an appointment for a weigh in. The veterinarians and staff of Tiara Rado Animal Hospital are most concerned with your pet's overall health and want your pet to achieve an acceptable weight in the healthiest way possible.
By entering the contest, we reserve the right to use your pet's information and photo for use in publicizing the contest via various media, including Facebook, www.tiararadoanimalhospital.com, television and print.
